Heritage Park Historical Village

With more than 200 exhibits and attractions—even a vintage amusement park—Heritage Park Historical Village will enthrall history buffs and pleasure-seekers alike. The 127-acre attraction is one of Calgary’s top tourist sites. Visitors—and locals—come to ride the antique steam train, set sail on a paddlewheel ship, visit the farm animals, learn about the Blackfoot culture and explore a bustling prairie town complete with a candy shop and ice cream parlour. A particular focus at Heritage Park is Western Canada’s energy industry. Prospect Ridge lets visitors glimpse the past, present and future of oil and gas. Gasoline Alley Museum is home to one of the world’s largest collections of antique vehicles, as well as vintage gas pumps and other paraphernalia. The Historical Village is open daily from late May to early September. Gasoline Alley Museum is open year-round.
