Camp on the doorstep of one of the most stunning sights in the Canadian Rockies. The Columbia Icefields Campground is minutes from its namesake glacier and offers a rustic camping experience you won't soon forget. The tent-only campground has an unbeatable location. It puts adventurers on the doorstep of some of the world’s most spectacular scenery. Most of the 31 campsites have glacier views, making the campground a good base camp for exploring the icefield and surrounding mountains. You can also take in the nearby Columbia Icefield Centre, which shares the area’s history and geology. The campground is open from mid-June to mid-October. It operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not accepted.
