Ellis Bird Farm

A place to learn about the complex biodiversity found in Central Alberta and to relax in a beautiful natural outdoor setting, Ellis Bird Farm is a unique non-profit organization located in rural Central Alberta. It is open to the public throughout the summer months (Victoria Day in May until Labour Day in September), is free to visit (donations are welcomed) and offers a variety of events for all ages. Ellis Bird Farm exists as a bird conservancy, dedicated to the protection of cavity-nesting species including Mountain Bluebirds, Tree Swallows and Purple Martins, and to conducting scientific research concerning these species. Ellis Bird Farm also provides a multi-faceted educational program relating to nature in the Aspen Parkland.
