This simple chapel, Alberta's oldest building, became the centre of the thriving French-speaking Métis settlement of St. Albert. The chapel has been restored to look much as it did in the early 1860s and operates as one of Alberta's provincial historic sites. Drop in and let the historical interpreters take you back to an earlier time. Your visit could include a tour of the chapel, the grotto, and the cemetery. Tours are offered in English and French. Other nearby attractions to round out your visit include the Founders' Walk historic interpretive trail with interpretive panels telling the history of St. Albert, the Little White School, Historic River Lots 23 and 24, and the Musée Héritage Museum.
