Sandy Beach Regional Park

There’s something for everyone at this park near Lloydminster in east-central Alberta. The park has private cabins and residences. There’s also a campground where you’ll find fully serviced sites, a group camping area, a boat launch, and a concession that sells drinks, snacks and ice cream treats. The park sits at the south end of Sandy Beach Lake, which is an excellent spot for swimming and paddling. A line of buoys separates the swimming area from boat traffic. There's also a slide and a diving board for those who swim out to the raft. The park also features day-use picnic sites, a playground, horseshoe pits, a basketball court and walking paths. There’s even a nine-hole golf course with sand greens. Of course, there’s also a sandy beach for those who want to put down a blanket and soak up the sun.
